"Laredo is what happens when Texans have a whole planet where they can... be Texans."
Martin Rojas, known to the rest of the universe as the bounty hunter Tirador, was satisfied with his life. He liked working with The Law to bring in criminals and the hefty paychecks it brought. But a simple job on Laredo will send him on the path to revenge against someone who never wronged him and turn Tirador from hunter to hunted.
Nothing comes without a cost. The bigger it is, the more it costs. And we got immortality...
They called it ARD, Age-Related Dementia. A simple name for the condition that eventually turns everyone with the Longevity Gene into drooling vegetables. Jonathan Golightly has developed a treatment that might fix it, but his research funding was cut by less-capable idiots. Now, he's going to test it out on himself.
Because screw 'em.

About Nathan
Nathan, whose last name is pronounced 'Troop' (We've told him it's not spelled that way. He doesn't listen.) grew up in California. After high school he spent a couple of years in Nicaragua where he fought off giant spiders, contracted dengue fever, and fell in love with pinolillo. Nathan currently resides in Northern Utah with his wife, multitudinous daughters, two dogs, and a useless cat. When he isn't writing he likes to pretend he's an accountant for a local construction company.
Raised on a steady diet of Adams, Feist, Heinlein, and McCaffery, Nathan has always loved the more fantastical versions of reality. Stories of men and women doing what is right, in spite of personal consequence, consistently keep him up past bedtime.
